Grand Opening of Muscogee Park in Atlanta

Muscogee Park Grand Opening
841 Brookline St SW Atlanta, GA 30310
Hello All,

Elise Blasingame, a PhD student in Political Science and International Affairs and INAS Graduate Certificate student, invites everyone to join us on Friday, September 8, from 10AM - 12PM to celebrate the Grand Opening of Muscogee Park in Adair Park Neighborhood in Atlanta.

Elise serves as Parks Chair and has been working with the Office of Cultural & Historic Preservation at Muscogee Nation for two years to design and implement phase one of this park redevelopment. We believe it is the first City of Atlanta Park designed to educate residents and visitors about Muscogee history in Georgia, the forced removal from the region where Atlanta was later developed, and the thriving Muscogee Nation culture as it is today.

Chief David Hill (Muscogee Nation), along with his delegation, and City of Atlanta leaders will be present to speak.

There will be pupusas provided by La Bodega.

This will be a fun event and an important moment for Indigenous Georgia.

Please feel free to invite anyone in your network who might be interested in attending.
