UCLA's Critical Mission Studies grant program invites Native scholars and community members to bring their lived experiences and ancestral histories to rewrite the history of California Missions. Based in UCLA's Chicano Studies Research Center, launched in 2019, Critical Mission Studies has created knowledge sharing opportunities led by the board of California Indian research partners.
