This episode features Cherokee Language speaker and educator, Thomas N. Belt. Tom has been instrumental in the Eastern Band of Cherokee's language revitalization programs and the tribal language immersion school, New Kituwah Academy. the episode explores the importance of indigenous languages and the vast bodies of knowledge they carry. Immediately following the screening will be a talk from Dr. Sara Snyder Hopkins, Director of Western Carolina's Cherokee Language Revitalization Program. Thomas N.
