The Institute of Native American Studies had another great year of teaching, learning, engaging, and sharing Native American culture, history, and social realities at UGA.

INAS Director and celebrated Choctaw poet, novelist, and storyteller, LeAnne Howe, recently spoke at Grinnell College Center for the Humanities. LeAnne shared stories about her life of writing, teaching, and inspiring other writers.

The Ethnobotanical Garden of the Americas (previously the Latin American Ethnobotanical Garden) at the University of Georgia is garden where medicinal plants from places like the Caribbean, Mexico, South and Central America, and the US Southeast grow.
